Whether you are a new or existing owner, we can offer a variety of ownership types that will allow you to enjoy the full excitement of being a racehorse owner.
If you own your own racehorse, have bred one or want to buy one, we are able to help.  We often have horses in the yard for sale as a whole or in shares.  We also attend the racehorse sales across England and Ireland sourcing for both National Hunt and Flat horses.
Listed below are the various different types of ownership available.

SOLE OWNERSHP:  You will be the sole owner of the horse and as such, any costs and profits will be yours alone.  You will have a close involvement with any of the decisions regarding your horse.  As well as choosing and designing your own colours, if your horse is unnamed you get to choose a name.

CO-OWNERSHIP: Co-ownership of a horse involves more than one person and is a great way of splitting the costs, entertaining your clients or dabbing your toe into the thrills and spills of racing.  There are various different types of co-ownership.

RACING PARTNERSHIP: For two or more people who want to share the ownership of one or more horses, and where all members of the Partnership are registered owners. Partnerships allow owners to define the percentage of each horse they own and split costs and winnings in accordance with ownership share. For more information on shared ownership, you can also visit the ROA (Racehorse Owners can consist of between 2 and 20 individuals of which at least 2 must become, or already be, registered owners.

RACING CLUBS: For people who want to pay a subscription to experience racehorse ownership. A Racing Club is managed and administered by the Club manager/s and it is the Club itself, as opposed to its members, that owns the horse(s).  Members pay an all-inclusive fee to be part of the club and to enjoy the benefits of racehorse ownership. Only individuals who want to set up or administer a Racing Club must register as a Sole/Company owner. It isn’t necessary for members of a Racing Club to register as owners.

We have our own yard racing club where members can enjoy benefits of racehorse ownership and a share in the action of several different horses for a one of fee.  Please do get in contact for more information regarding the clubs, its horses and the perks of being a member with us!

RACING SYNDICATES: For people who want to share the ownership of one or more horses. A Syndicate is managed and administered by the Syndicator(s). Only the syndicator(s) must register as a Sole/Company owner.  It isn’t necessary for members of the Syndicate to register as owners.

COMPANY OWNERSHIP: For companies who wish to own a horse under the name of a company or business. Companies can own horses outright or within a Partnership or Syndicate. So, in effect, your company owns the horse as a sole owner, but shareholders in the company participate as an owner through their shareholdings. This can be a great way of marketing your company and the horse(s) can also be sponsored by the company as a way of advertising, you even name your horse after your company. It can be used as a fantastic way to entertain clients or staff, especially with the superb hospitality packages that the racecourses provide.

LEASING: is a great way to own a horse without paying for the purchase of the horse itself. It means that you only pay the costs of its training fees and other bills incurred throughout the lease period. Leasing can be for the whole season or even for one race. It can involve one person or multiple owners. This type of ownership is enjoyable and becoming more and more popular.

We are able to advise or run and manage different co-ownership models to provide hassle free ownership for your benefit, contact us for more information.
